We are seeking an energetic and talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer / Analyst who will build a holistic approach to business reporting across the enterprise. You will help employees and teams to access the information they need to effectively do their jobs better and more efficiently, and provide the ability to analyze data to make informed business decisions. Location: Irvine, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Data analysis, production level coding using WebFOCUS Developer Studio, report design, dashboard design and overall maintenance of BI reporting solutions for departments across the company.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, recommend alternative solutions, develop concepts and demos
• Continually improve and expand the BI value to business users to meet or exceed expectations
• Solve problems and apply critical thinking skills and logic to craft highly intuitive graphical user interfaces and presentations of data.
• Proactively discern unique data needs and continually expand and build reporting efficiencies through timely and accurate product deliveries.
• Provide and maintain a high level of service to internal customers.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience as a Business Intelligence developer / analyst developing complex queries, reports and dashboards.
• 2-3+ years hands-on experience with WebFOCUS Developer Studio, Version 7 (FOCUS Report Development a plus)
• The ideal candidate would have excellent interpersonal skills, great business sense, and a proven technical ability to code and deliver production quality BI reports.
• Candidate must have a solid understanding of queries, database objects, design and architecture (MS SQL Server a plus).
• Proficiency understanding data concepts, multi-dimensional arrays, logical grouping of data, designs and patterns.
• Experience working with SQL Server developers and technology leads, understanding performance advantages of data marts or cubes
• A strong working knowledge of web based technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML) and graphical user interfaces is required.
• Must possess excellent analytical skills and logical thinking.
• Strong written, **** communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, taking initiative to work across functional teams and drive results.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proven ability to evaluate business requirements and set and achieve goals.
• Proficient in using various desktop applications such as MS Office, Visio, Acrobat, Project.
• Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelors of Science or equivalent experience required
