I've been engaged by our client to find a Sr. Webfocus Developer for a direct hire position with a client located in Raleigh-Durham, NC.

Overview

Client has a Senior WebFOCUS Developer position in the Business Unit located in Raleigh, NC. As a member of the Business Intelligence organization, this person will be responsible for developing WebFOCUS reports and dashboards. This responsibility includes working with project teams (including Project Tech Leads, Systems Analysts, Data Analysts, Database Developers, Quality Assurance engineers, Project Managers and business partners) to best determine how to best utilize WebFOCUS. This position will require development of WebFOCUS reports.

Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with project team to develop WebFOCUS reports and dashboards
Represent the team in Project meetings
Provide estimates for proposed new work
Liaison to more junior WebFOCUS developers to ensure work is distributed and completed
Maintain awareness of the current product capabilities (Report Caster, MRE, BID)
Pro-actively suggest improvements/utilization of WebFOCUS modules for the betterment of the organization
Work with Project Technical Lead to determine design approach of WebFOCUS-related components. Recommend ways to best utilize WebFOCUS in the solution.
Work closely with User Interface designers to build the UI using a combination of HTML/AJAX/JQuery/JavaScript
Work closely with project teams and other WebFOCUS developers to develop solutions to satisfy business requirements.
Develop standards and best practices for WebFOCUS report development, code reviews, and project engagement
Effectively communicate information and issues to all key technology and business partners

Education and Experience:
A minimum of 6 years related experience including at least 4years of experience with WebFOCUS
At least 3 years experience with SQL, PL/SQL
Experience integrating with web services, developing stored procedures
Well versed in database technologies
B.S. in a computer-related field is preferred

Strong judgment, issues management, excellent trouble-shooting abilities
Highly organized, ability to coordinate activities across groups
Ability to effectively communicate within the team and across groups.
Excellent verbal/writing/listening skills
Knowledge of Financial Services concepts is preferred.
Strong customer focus with world class customer service skills
Demonstrated Ability to quickly learn new technologies
