Location: SSA Headquarters (Must live within 2 hours of Woodlawn, MD)
Salary: $102,663 to $133,465 per year
Serves as an IT Specialist in the Office of Systems, for an Associate Commissioner component. Responsible for analyzing and refining systems requirements, designing, developing, modifying, validating and implementing SSA programmatic software. Such IT-related experience must include at least two (2) years of experience designing, developing and testing business intelligence or management information applications using WebFOCUS 8.

All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
Five days a week during COVID. Eventually will need to report to headquarters in Woodlawn, MD some.

Do you have experience-designing, building, implementing and maintaining WebFOCUS 8 Management Information/Business Intelligence portals, reports and visualizations?
Example: On the xyz project I designed a portal, 4 reports and several visualizations in the form of graphs, charts and ESRI maps. I implemented these in to production. After production I performed maintenance by fixing defects and applying enhancements.
Do you have experience-creating SQL to perform complex database queries involving the use of sub-queries, joins, data filtering and data ordering?
Do you have experience as an administrator for WebFOCUS 8 security roles and database adapters?
Do you have experience using the FOCUS core reporting language?
Do you have experience creating metadata and cluster synonyms using WebFOCUS 8?
Do you have experience using Report Caster to schedule and distribute WebFOCUS reports?
Do you have experience coding and testing Section 508 standards?
Do you have experience extracting data from DB2, PostgreSQL or Greenplum databases using WebFOCUS 8?
Do you have experience coordinating across organizations or teams in developing software solutions that meet user needs?
Do you have experience conducting and participating in team code reviews?
Do you have experience assisting programmers or developers on your project team?
Do you have experience expressing and presenting ideas and conclusions clearly, concisely and effectively in order to work across organizations and arrive at agreements; and can your provide technical leadership on group projects?
Do you have experience briefing peers and management on complex IT information?
Do you have experience working in a cross team environment to identify and resolve system problems or needs?
Do you have experience expressing and presenting ideas and conclusions clearly and concisely through charts, graphs, reports or memorandums?
Do you have experience-building consensus across project teams to achieve business results?
Do you have experience independently troubleshooting and resolving software problems?
Do you have experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Access, Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint?
Do you have experience that demonstrates knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (such as Agile, Waterfall, etc…)?
