When I close the DM Management Console on my PC, the DM server also shuts down. How can I prevent this? thnx

Start the DM server yourself from the Start menu before you start the DMC, then they will run independent of each other.
You can prevent the DMC from starting (and thus stopping) the local server from Tools > Options > General by unchecking "Start LOOPBACK server on startup."

Cliff, thnx for the info. I didn't fully describe my environment.

I remote desktop to a MS server where the DM server is runnig. I log on and open DM Management console. The DM server is already running, load jbs are running all night, but when I exit DM Management Console, it shuts te server down. If I would start the server with the START - All Programs- iwaysoftware - start DM server, I think when I log off from the server, it will shut the server down, right?
