Hi All,

I am loading data from Table A to Table B, both the table structure and datatype as same.

All the columns are loaded properly but one column is loaded as zero instead of Table A data.

Value 0 is loaded for all the rows for that particular column remaining column data are fine.

Could anyone please help me on this?

Hi Waz,

It is a direct pass through and mentioned query below generated by DMC.

SELECT DISTINCT
T1.ORGANIZATION_ID ,
T1.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID ,
T1.CATEGORY_SET_ID ,
T1.CATEGORY_ID ,
T1.LAST_UPDATE_DATE ,
T1.LAST_UPDATED_BY ,
T1.CREATION_DATE ,
T1.CREATED_BY ,
T1.LAST_UPDATE_LOGIN ,
T1.REQUEST_ID ,
T1.PROGRAM_APPLICATION_ID ,
T1.PROGRAM_ID ,
T1.PROGRAM_UPDATE_DATE ,
T1.WH_UPDATE_DATE
FROM
mtl_item_categories T1

In the above query all the columns are loaded fine except T1.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID column.

Please help me on this?

Hi Waz,

Thanks for your response.

Haven't used any transformation , its a direct pull from source to target.

Just a silly question.

Is source INVENTORY_ITEM_ID associated with the destinations INVENTORY_ITEM_ID ?

It looks like you are using DataMigrator. What release are you using?

Just to be clear you are not using what we call Direct Pass Through which refers to database specific SQL dialect that is passed through to the underlying relational database as is. While the DMC never generates such you can write it in a DBMS SQL Flow.

Is the target a New or Existing table?

If New the transformations from source to target are implied, you don't need to specify them.

For existing you do need what we call a transformation for each column you want loaded (we call them that even if they are just doing a simple assignment).

So I would phrase Waz's last question, is there a transformation for INVENTORY_ITEM_ID?

If not, and the column is NOT NULL (MISSING is not checked in the synonym editor for the field) then you would indeed get zero's loaded.
