[SOLVED] &FOCFEXNAME
What dictates whether the value in &FOCFEXNAME contains the full directory path or just the data flow? I have 2 different data flows putting &FOCFEXNAME into a column. The first results in appdir/flowname. The second results in flowname. Thanks!

HI Deejay,

Welcome to Focal point!

While we wait for others to reply to this topic, what version of Data Migrator are you using.

In WebFOCUS using &FOCFEXNAME may depend on whether you are running a focexec in the App Folder or within MRE.

WebFOCUS Explanation:
Manages reporting operations involving many similarly named requests that are executed using the EX command. &FOCFOCEXEC enables you to easily determine which procedure is running by returning the fully qualified path for the procedure. &FOCFOCEXEC can be specified within a request or a Dialogue Manager command to display the name of the current procedure.

What is it that you are trying to do with the &FOCFEXNAME?

Hi DeeJay,

The following is a reply received back from a colleague in the Data Migrator group.

Here is what I noticed:

- If the procedure part of the process flow (IOWs, it is an icon), then the full path is displayed.
- If the procedure is called from a stored proc, then only the name is displayed unless it is called using the application name
o Example
 EX SHOWVARS  will be “showvars”
 EX baseapp/SHOWVARS  will be “baseapp/showvars”

There is an option in the DMConsole that says “Use application directory name with flow components” in “Options/Process Flow Designer”. That should be checked on to ensure the app name is always included in the “EX “ statements.

Hope that helps,
