heres what i am doing.

I have a data flow (ODBC) to an excel spread sheet that comes in every night. After the Data flow runs i try to Rename the Spreadsheet because there will be another with the same name placed in the same folder so i always get the new data.

When the rename SP runs it errors out. The SP runs if I run it manualy.

Is there a way to put a wait befor the SP call to make the spreadsheet is free.

You can put a sleep command in the stored procedure, for example to wait 10 seconds:
sleep 10

Thanks clif,

Is it a problem that they are running on the same process?

If you put the sleep command in the same procedure as the rename then they are indeed running in the same process. It just waits for the specified number of seconds before proceeding. So if it's just a timing issue that should work.

i believe it is being locked by the process so even after the Data Load then the Sleep it is still locked. Goin to try running another process after the load.
