I am trying to map varchar2(3000) field to either varchar2(3000) or LONG and both are not working.

On the source table I have comments varchar2(3000) field which I am trying to map to a varchar2(3000) field on the destination table. It gives me nothing but garbage. Then I converted varchar2(3000) field to LONG on the destination table and this time it not doing any mapping at all.

Can someone tell me what am I missing?
