newtofocusConfiguring DB2 adapter using CLI.
Hi,
I am trying to configure iWay DB2 adapter using CLI. I want to be able to access tables from two DB2 subsystems. Does any one know what goes into the db2cli.ini file to acheive this?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

<B. Volkov>Hi,
few things you have to be aware:
- server can connect to one subsystem and therefore communication database has to be set up to point to various subsystems
- STEPLIB has to point subsystem to be used for communication
example db2cli.ini is:
[COMMON]
MVSDEFAULTSSID=DBZ1
MVSATTACHTYPE=RRSAF
MULTICONTEXT=1
[DBZ1]
MVSATTACHTYPE=RRSAF
;MVSATTACHTYPE=CAF
[DBY1]
MVSATTACHTYPE=RRSAF
;MVSATTACHTYPE=CAF
[DSNB]
MVSATTACHTYPE=RRSAF
;MVSATTACHTYPE=CAF
in server edasprof.prf connect string should point to aliases defined in communication database

newtofocusThanks Volkov. Is it mandatory to use RRSAF as the MVSATTACHTYPE?. I used RRSAF and I get the following error message.
(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS 31073 (HEX: 00007961)
: [58004] {DB2 FOR OS/390}{ODBC DRIVER} SQLSTATE=58004 ERRLOC=2:170:4;
: RRS "IDENTIFY" failed using DB2 system:LAWX, RC=08 and REASON=00f3009

newtofocusVolkov,
I think I know understand what you mean by defining it in the communication database, but does DDF has to be turned on?.
Thanks.
