[CASE OPENED] DATREC vs Internal - Missing values (Migration issue)
posted August 25, 2016 03:39 PM Hello, I have strange finding afer we migrate to 8.1 from 7702.
When we use target transformations with conditions like "IF XXXX EQ MISSING THEN 'this' ELSE 'that'". In 7702, SQLIN is in INTERNAL format and the above one works well.
In 8.1, SQLIN is in DATREC format and the above transformation seems not working as it is not able to identify MISSING as MISSING.
When I check SQLIN data, I see '.' which is missing but transformation is unable to identify '.' as missing in DATREC or 8.1 version.
With DATREC - Transformation is working up to 1134 rows and unable to identify MISSING ('.') from 1135th row, which is strange.
Any thoughts on this please. Thanks very much. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Tamra,

Avatar,
Since this issue maybe related to migration can you please open a case for this. The data migrator group would like to review the flows, synonyms etc.
If you have log files or other documentation that will be helpful too for the case.
You can open a case at IBI Tech Support Center - click on Case Management or call 1-800-736-6130
Thank you for participating in the Focal Point Forum.
