Does anybody have any tips on using bulk load and how to get the best out of it.

We are using Data Migrator v533.

It is working okay for some jobs but for others I am getting errors as bellow:

Error = [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]String data, right truncation
SQLState = 22001, NativeError = 0

and

SQLState = 22005, NativeError = 0
Error = [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid character value for cast spec
ification

They work fine if I set it back to insert records from memory.

Many thanks

I have tracked down the cause:

It is only causing a problem if I am using bulk load where the job has a Date in.

I think it is something to do with the format of the date when it is being passed to the SQL server.

We just had the same problem in 5.2.8. It was patched in 5.2.9. It had been working fine in 5.2.3, so there were obviously some regression issues.
