I just started working with JAM adapter for mainframe connectivity. I am tryin to verify the intsallation. The gateway is not starting and the status shown in down. the server throws the follwoing error:
java.lang.NullPointerException

at com.iwaysoftware.jam.cluster.DeployedGatewayImpl.(Unknown Source)

how can i solve this error.

You should definitely call support and log a call. There's not much information in this post, and if you're getting that kind of error message you should probably make sure that you get it corrected before you start trying a lot of different configuration changes, etc.
