Hi,

we are using iSM 6.1.2 and we want to create a ReadOnly user to be used by various teams to gain access to iSM console.

We have tried the following :

1. on iSM console -> management -> users -> (created a new user) -> per configuration setting selected read only for all options. Also under user access rights section all sections are unchecked.

2. we tried to create a new server roles but couldnt associate this role to the new users created.

apart from this we also tried to setup authentication Relm by externalizing user settings in a properties file but even tat is also not supporting.

Problem: the problem we are facing is that this new user is able to edit/update settings and we need to restrict.

Open a problem ticket with New York on this. There is a very specific way to do this and - if I can remember properly - you have to remove the default realm and replace it with a new one. However, that was a long time ago.
