Hi, I'm trying to ocnfigure IWAF salesforce adapter connection. I'm able to configure the connection but when trying to "Create synonym", it seems running forever without any response. I noticed that it is able to make 2 connections as I can observe in the login history of salesforce.
So, it is able to connect but doesn't return back anything when trying create synonym.

Are you able to create a synonym using the "query" adapter? That would confirm that your user id, password and security token are correct. BTW could you let us know what the reason is for using the IWAF adapter instead of the query adapter?
Please note: You always create synonyms for a service even when you want to use an event. The default release number for the salesforce url or endpoint on an older server may refer to an obsolete version. You can change it to 33.0. This will be reflected in the next server release.
If you are still having issues please open a hottrack case. Let them know which business object and method you are attempting to create a synonym for.

Hi Cliff, Yes, I'm able to connect with salesforce.com adapter. Reason for trying to use IWAF salesforce adapter is, we might need to process large volunes into salesforce for the initial load. I'm thinking as the salesforce.com adapter as target can only process insert/update. So just for the intial load, using IWAF batch processing trchnique may help in optimizing performance.
What's your advise/feedback on this? Much appreciated you taking some time on this.

Thanks. good to know. Indeed you can use the Batch API to upload data in volume with the IWAF adapter.
