Hi,

When I choose "scorecard dimensional breakout" as todays's page in century corp example, I see current and previous value across regions, East, West etc. But when i click on any of these regions, why it takes me to page where it gives current and previous value across different objectives.

It should show drill down value. Also can we change the link so that based on our client requirement it can go to some other report. Where do we make that change in PMF.

Thanks for help.

Abhi

It's good to want things. It's even better to be able to get them.

Scorecard Dimensional Breakout (SDB) was written for a particular customer who had particular needs. If your needs differ, you can either build a new report that meets your needs or customize SDB.

You'd have to customize the code in the report to do this. It's a WebFOCUS report. The drills in that report don't use the standard multi-drill menu FOCEXEC; instead they are custom. If you want to drill to a different report, just change the FOCEXEC in the drilldown.

SDB's right-hand report is scrd_dim_prevcurr01.fex.
The focexec for objective prev v. cur, it's obj_prevcurr_a1.fex.
You can actually get this info from Content panel and/or from doing a View Source on the actual report (make sure you click the actual panel because these reports are in framesets).

We get you fishin for yourself! :-)

enjoy!

Also note please that on Scorecard Dimensional Breakout, when you drill on the initial report you see the actual detail of the dimensional breakout, and this report has all the standard dropdowns, including show measures (current v. prev). So what you want is already there, just a click away.

If you take the default drill repport away, you lose the ability to also display all those standard dropdown items. That's essentially the design of this particular report.

We recommend you evaluate whether the specific needs you have could rather better be resolved with a PMF dashboard you can put together out of the Objective P.v.C gadget, alongside a tree to select dimensions, and with Broadcast turned on. This would work with NO code customization. Have a look at PMF 5.2's Dashboard Designer, which lets you put this together in less than 10 seconds.

thanks
