We managed to run the dimension load from a command prompt using edastart with the proper syntax.

For example,

edastart.bat -x "DIM_LOADER_SCHED DIMENSION_TYPE=H" >> DIM_LOAD_H.LOG

Pretty cool.

I am opening up this discussion thread once more as an FYI to all.

Bob in a previous post about this same subject you mention the following.

"Is Caster running the same exact maintain environment as you are running while you're in PMF?

If we don't get indications from the answers to these questions you'll need to go to CSS and open a case and let them get into serious debugging. It sounds like a discrepancy between the environment Caster runs in, and the one live WebFOCUS runs in... but that's a guess without further info."

I think Caster is not running the exact maintain environment as we are in PMF. The reason being we have webfocus running with a bunch of global set parameters HOLDLIST, ALL=ON and others parameters that have caused us conflicts before with PMF .

Theirfore calling the loads via an OS command might be the way to go. We have prototyped it on customer site and is performing well so far.
