WebFOCUS PMF 5.2.1 was released to manufacturing Feb 12, 2010 and is now Generally Available to customers from the
Downloads menu on
http://techsupport.ibi.com.
PMF 5.2.1 introduces many new capabilities for the PMF platform, including:
- New Dashboard broadcast animation effects
- New drag-and-drop Dashboard Designer supporting end-user personalization of content
- A library of 60 pre-built gadgets, including Web 2.0 content, Flex gadgets for Metrics and for Strategy
- Risk management support within performance strategies
- Animated Strategy Map
- Total integration with WebFOCUS server-based and MR content
- Faster performance throughout
PMF 5.2.1 is certified with WF 7.6.7 and above. If you need to support an earlier version of WebFOCUS, please contact Information Builders Technical support.
The PMF Installer will automatically upgrade PMF to the latest version without requiring a manual uninstall as was required in previous releases. You can simply re-run the PMF installer to upgrade your installation.
Notes:
1. If you are working with a V4 or earlier data mart, you will have to migrate the PMF data mart manually to the V5 level. However, from V5 onward, migrations are autonomic - when the Administrator starts PMF, the application will detect and allow the administrator to automatically migrate the currently data mart by choice. PMF 5.2.1 will only work on that mart after it is upgraded. Upgrades are safe; however please always back up any mart before migrating it.
2. If you have PMF installed in a multi-tier configuration, please remember to run the installation separately for your Web server and WebFOCUS server boxes.
