Hi,

I'm trying to put the Ad Hoc Measures report on its own BID tab. I built an MRE fex that does a -MRNOEDIT -INCLUDE measures_entry_rpt01.fex, added a tab in the BID Viewbuilder, put the MRE fex in a launch block and turned off parameter prompting. The Ad Hoc Measures report now lives on its own navigation tab.

The problem is that the 'Enter Data' drill-down no longer resolves to the measure entry screen. Instead, it says it can't find MEASURES_ENTRY_FRAMES. I copied the drill-down's WFServlet URL for the working version and the WFServlet URL for the non-working version on the BID tab. There's one glaring difference, which is that the one that works is passing this:

&IBIAPP_app=mainstreet%20baseapp

The one that doesn't work is passing this instead:

&&IBIMR_drill=X,pmf/pmf.htm

I have a theory, which is that I need to do an Include to set this screen up to work before I call it. I tried the obvious (-INCLUDE A_DEFAULTS), but that didn't fix the problem.

Please advise.

Cheers,

Joey

This has nothing to do with PMF and everything to do with what happens when you run a FOCEXEC inside MRE. The backend server changes all drills to be "inside MRE" drills. Hence they won't work for a WebFOCUS application that is primarily outside MRE. PMF uses MRE to publish its channels, but it is otherwise a standard WebFOCUS app, meaning it resides in application folders.

The answer for you is to understand primarily how MRE works and how WebFOCUS works and do what we did. You cannot -INCLUDE the report in an MRE based procedure directly. Remember that INCLUDE actually sucks the code into the procedure which means MRE takes over and you don't want that.

The easiest technique would be to create a simple HTML page that onload redirects to run the measure entry listing report using IBIF_ex. Several of our existing pages in the MRE do this, have a look at them.

thanks
