Hi Team,

When you have a multi-measure report and you click the measure name, there is a multidrill menu that contains several options. The first option is 'Operational Report...' and it runs whatever report with which the measure is associated. I have assigned a custom WebFOCUS launch page, and would love to have it open in a new window instead of reusing the window frame or gadget of the parent.

Any advice on how to make this happen would be appreciated.

Hi Joey,

This is controlled via the "Pop Up Window Handling" option within the PMF Settings UI console (Manage tab). This setting will control all of the window handling in PMF so if you just want Operational reports for measures to function like this you will need to customize part of PMF.

If you wish to customize this, don't worry as it's a simple change. Just copy a_get_drill_down_meas.fex into your pmfcustom folder (pmfcustom needs to be in front of your app path). Just change the following line to hardcode the TARGET to '_blank'.

After step -:A_GDDM_SK0C around line 50 comment out this line.
-* MEASURE_SERIES = &MEASURE_SERIES_FIELD), TARGET=&PMF_DRLL_TGT,

Then change it to look like this:
MEASURE_SERIES = &MEASURE_SERIES_FIELD), TARGET=_blank,

Note: this will change all operational reports on the Measure drill to open in a new window.
