Hi Team,

I'm building a dashboard with three data table gadgets (built with Analysis Desiger) and two charts (borrowed from the Actual VS Target pmf_booklet_meas_graph1.fex).

I have a set of measures for one scorecard and another set for a second scorecard. I've made the gadgets filter-able on Measures (required, single-select).

Here's the problem, and it's strange (to me). The three report objects let me pick a measure for scorecard one, and a different measure for scorecard two. It remembers each measure when I switch between scorecards, and the tables show different data for each SC. The two graph objects let me pick a measure, but it keeps that filter across scorecards. So if I pick a measure that works for scorecard one on the graph, when I switch to scorecard two, it returns a no-data error until I manually pick a scorecard two measure. Then it no-data's on scorecard one!

Pourquoi?

Okay, great news; I figured this out on my own. Yay!

Here's the resolution:

When setting up a gadget class, there is a "Scorecard Filters:" combobox, which has two options: "Use Current Scorecard" and "Scorecard not used."

I had my reports set to "Use Current Scorecard" but my charts were set to "Scorecard not used."

Now that I have set the charts to "Use Current Scorecard," they let me save a different measure filter for each SC. This is my desired behaviour.

My interpretation of this control is that it toggles the ability to save filter settings on a scorecard basis. Very useful.

Cheers,

Joey
