Is a seperate WebFOCUS Reporting Server required to run PMF?
Can it be added to an existing WebFOCUS Reporting Server?
Where can I find the installation documentation for PMF?

Thanks

PMF is a WebFOCUS application and can run concurrent with other apps and adhoc, MRE, etc. on the same server.

However note the minimum WebFOCUS level is 765. From your signature, I see you're running 5.3.3. So you would need to upgrade that server or else install a separate 765 or higher server.

thanks

Thanks for the info Bob.
My client currently has 2 webfocus servers.
The 5.33 server is the one I use for my reporting.
There is also a seperate 7.13 server just for PMF.
I guess that it is running an older version of PMF. The PMF server gets very light use.

So, I should recommend to my client upgrading the 5.33 to at least 7.65 and then installing PMF on it.
Then we can eliminate the 7.13 server and save money because we will be licensing one less server.

What do you think?

You mean you want me to recommend how IBI should make less money? Ummm...

kidding of course... :-)

Yea, 765 is the minimum WebFOCUS level you can use with PMF V5, so if that's up and running (WebFOCUS server, client, MRE, ReportCaster) and you have an RDBMS (SQL Servder, Oracle, DB2) PMF is an easy install.

5.1.2 will be out sometime in very early Feb, FYI. WB a cool release.

thanks!
