[SHARING] How to use Python for AI/ML integrated with WebFOCUS
See this blog article on integrating Python with WebFOCUS.

This is slightly different from the IB adapter which lets you bind a Python procedure to a DEFINE/COMPUTE statement. Instead, this has WebFOCUS call the Python procedure which generates an answer set on the Reporting Server, and then builds metadata with which a subsequent WebFOCUS procedure can read the Python output. For example, you could use Python to scrape files from the Internet and then read them as input with WebFOCUS.

For copies of the code, see my GitHub FEXs and PY programs:

Multiple products (FOCUS, WebFOCUS, iWay), releases (4-8.2), platforms (e.g., MVS, OpenVMS, Linux, iSeries, Windows), databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, IMS, Hyperstage, etc.), integrated technologies (e.g., C/C++, R, Python)
Currently doing great things on WF8.2
