its time to number the threads, so that if we want to refer someone to a previous discussion, we can say Go to thread number nnnn, rather than have to search for the text of the thread subject thru all the threads. good idea??

I don't think the UBB software can handle the specific display of thread numbers. But you can always link directly to any thread. For example: HERE'S A THREAD. You do this by using the URL UBB tag and the URL of the specific thread (see "instant UBB code" when composing a post).

NOTE: The thread number is actually the last part of the thread's URL ("t=").
