Hello

I have a TABLE request in this format.
  
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
   CAR_SALES
   SUV_SALES
ACROSS COUNTRY
END


Assuming COUNTRY has USA, ENGLAND and BRAZIL...I am trying the eliminate the records CAR_SALES value is 0 when COUNTRY is BRAZIL.

How would I do this?

I have 3 different HOLD files for above 3 countries and I used MORE to merge them
Please suggest

Try this, where "car" is your merged file:

DEFINE FILE CAR
MY_RETAIL_COST /D7 = IF (COUNTRY EQ 'FRANCE') THEN 0 ELSE RETAIL_COST;
END
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
DEALER_COST
MY_RETAIL_COST
ACROSS
COUNTRY

WHERE NOT (COUNTRY EQ 'FRANCE' AND MY_RETAIL_COST EQ 0)

Without the WHERE statemet the country FRANCE with MY_RETAIL_COST 0 (zero) is shown.

If I understand correctly, you would like to delete a COLUMN where the value is 0.
This is not possible when you are SUMming 2 columns.
Here is a solution where you are converting 2 columns to 1, after which a condition a the column makes the 0 values disappear:
