[SOLVED] Report Painter - Formatting Group By fields

When I am using Report Painter in Developer Studio and i put formatting on a field i want to use, example: Currency format, if i change this field to a By (or group by, or sort), the formatting disappears. It no longer lets me right click on the field to select Format. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Dynamic format is for non by-fields only. Only way to resolve this is to create the field in a define. That way you can always change the format of the define regardless of the fact that the field is a by-field or not.
