Is it possible to set up IWA "Trusted Authentication" against an iseries server running OS400?

We would like to investigate running our webfocus on that iSeries, but we don't want to have users log in.

As far as I know, trusted authentication is not possible when coming from windows.
IWA is something that is known only within the microsoft world, any other platform or OS has no notion of that method.
But, I'd be happy to stand corrected, so if anyone knows of way to do a kind of IWA from windows to another platform, please be so kind to let us know...

Jason, can you give a brief description of what the final architecture would look like?

dhagen, it would be just a straight foward single-server setup, except running an OS400 compatible web server rather than IIS.

Jason,

It should be possible to have the Reporting server authenticate agains Active directory using LDAP authentication on the reporting server.

The main problem would be getting the user's windows username to use for authentication. Could REMOTE_USER be called in this instance? Maybe a revese proxy with an IIS server to pick up the IWA user id to pass to the AS/400 web server.

Cheers

Stu
