I am trying to save compond report to a file. Below is what I am trying to do. Has anyone tried this before? Below is the format of the command that is in the manual.

COMPOUND LAYOUT PCHOLD AS filename FORMAT format

This the command I am trying to use

COMPOUND LAYOUT PCHOLD AS '\\fs002\Groups\Transfer\Capella\jaypdftest.pdf' FORMAT PDF

I know I can save files to this folder because this command works when I am saving an Excel file in another fex.

ON TABLE SAVE FILENAME '\\fs002\Groups\Transfer\Capella\Dispensesjay.xlsx' FORMAT XLSX

I think you have to FILEDEF a logical name to the physical disk drive.

FILEDEF JAYPDFTEST DISK \\fs002\Groups\Transfer\Capella\jaypdftest.pdf

Then use COMPOUND LAYOUT PCHOLD AS JAYPDFTEST FORMAT PDF

I think you have to use HOLD not PCHOLD. Try this instead. I just ran it on my machine and got the PDF on disk.

FILEDEF JAYPDFTEST DISK \\fs002\Groups\Transfer\Capella\jaypdftest.pdf

Then use COMPOUND LAYOUT HOLD AS JAYPDFTEST FORMAT PDF
