The reports I'm trying to do require that I identify claims with 3 or more checks going to the same address in a 36 month period and another report that will identify insured's with 3 or more claims in a 36 month period.

Tigresa,

Using CAR, you want all the CARs which have 3 or more values of SEATS:

-* File Claims.fex
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM CNT.SEATS
BY CAR
PRINT SEATS
BY CAR
IF TOTAL CNT.SEATS GE 3
END

Does this give you a direction?

Is the 36 month period a set date range or is it any 36 month period based on check date or claim report date? a set date range would be straightforward. If it's a moving range, it will be a little more tricky.

For the last 36 month. I have a define for that which only brings forward the info for 36 month ending at the end of the prior month. :-)
