I'm trying to install Dev Studio 7.6.11 locally (via WfDevStudio7611.exe), but am getting a message that there is not enough space on my local C drive to complete.

I have tried this as an 'extract the files to a temp dir I specify' install and the 'extract the files to the Windows temp dir' install. I have specified C drive install locations and mapped drive (non-local) locations.

Reads Contents of Package.

Error pop-up: There is not enough space on Drive c:\ to extract this package.

I have 60 GB free on C:\. I have 3.15 G of RAM and have shut everything else down -- nothing else is running. Ideas?

This has happened to me on occasion. Just unzip the .exe file with WinZip to a directory and delete the files after you do your install.

Can you extract and unzip the file to your server and then install on your computer from there. (Map a network drive). Do you have files on your compute that you can delete? Have you defragged your PC?

AlexU / Pat,
I hadn't considered that the exe was a Winzip executable and could be opened as such. I did as AlexU suggested and am running the install now.

PBrightwell,
I am a reforming 'why asker' and am trying to embrace the world of "i don't know why it wasn't working before, but it is now, so...."

Thanks all!
