Hi,

We have a procedure to give a generic message in application using CAR file. This procedure is running fine in BASEAPP application folder but when we try to run the same procedure in some other application folder. It gives 0 records message.
I even tried a simple procedure as below.

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
CAR
END

I checked the APP PATH setting, both application folders are present in APP PATH.

Has anybody faced a similar problem. Please advise.

Thanks,
Deepak

Looks like there is one more CAR table in different app folder. Use WHENCE command to check is it really fetching from car table in BASEAPP folder.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Ram

Why are you using the CAR file to generate a generic message? Is this for error handling or no data to display type of a "user friendly" message?

Consider the "APP PREPENDPATH" command to get the CAR file which resides in BASEAPP.

The car file normally resides in the IBISAMP folder.
