I have a float value of 5020001001 and would like to convert this to alpha (definition Float 14).

When I use Edit,
EDIT(SUBCLASS_ID,'$$999999999999')
the result is 000725033705

And when I use FTOA,
FTOA(SUBCLASS_ID, '(F14)', SUBCLA14)
the result is 5020000768

How can I have it retain the original value when I convert it to alpha?

Thanks!

I solved my own problem. I used PTOA.

Just as an for your information, Edit won't work with numbers larger than over 9 or 10 digits.

Have you tried SUBCLA14/A15 = FTOA(SUBCLASS_ID,SUBCLASS_ID,SUBCLA14);

NOTE THE 'A15'
