HI,

I was trying to read a value from a query and was shaoing in foot note under 4 columns.

but the values in the subfoot are not gettin g center aligned.

I am reading the value as

-RUN
-READ REP2 &QTY.A20.
-RUN

-TYPE &QTY
-SET &QTY1=TRUNCATE(&QTY);

when i cheked read the hold file,it shows D20.2 as the read value.

When i changed A20 --> A50 it throws system error.

And use the below code to display

TYPE=SUBFOOT,HEADALIGN=BODY,JUSTIFY=CENTER, $
TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=1,POSITION=COL ,JUSTIFY=RIGHT,$
TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=2,BY=4,POSITION=COL1,JUSTIFY=CENTER,$
TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=3,BY=5,POSITION=COL2,JUSTIFY=CENTER,$
TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=1,ITEM=4,BY=6,POSITION=COL3,JUSTIFY=CENTER,$
TYPE=SUBFOOT,LINE=2,ITEM=2,BY=6,POSITION=COL3,JUSTIFY=CENTER,$

Please help on positioning the values exactly center aligned in the sufoot.

This only would work in a report not in a flat typing command.

So put it in a report somthing like this

TABLE FILE CAR
COUNT BODY
BY COUNTRY
BY MODEL
ON COUNTRY SUBFOOT
"&QTY1"
...
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML
....some other code for the HTML formatting
and now put here your code for the positioning...
END

this may work, but an other solution might be good course, using developer studio and Read The Focus Manual

I think that posting all the code would be advisable, as we do not know exactly what you are doing.

For example, does your number come out in the subfoot OK ?

What is the output format of the report ?
