508 Compliance - BID and Tools
Two questions.

1. Are the new Power Painter and Advanced Graph Tool in 7.6 508 compliant?

2. Has any one had any issues with the BID wrapper passing 508 compliance. The documentation only states that the various tools accessed via BID are 508 complaint (some as early as 5.3, some as recently as 7.1). I would like to assume that the BID wrapper, links, domain tree, etc. are complaint but if anyone has gone through this drill would like to hear about your experience.

Thanks,

Jon

Answers
1. Advanced Graph Assistant and Power Painter are not Section 508 complaint.

2. BID or Dashboard is 508 complaint. Significant modifications were made to the product in 7.1 to insure compliance of the menus and trees.

The user needs to be marked as a 508 user so
they get the required 508 behavior in HTMLRA and HTMLGA. We decided that some of the 508 required user interaction was a burden to the non 508 user.

Thanks. We had the 508 entitlement on when we had it audited. I do appricaite that it is not an all or nothing proposition. The audit was done with the 5.3 version.
