[CLOSED]HOW to display the page-number in the correct position in component

In report with component,the code is written as follow:

OBJECT=STRING,NAME='text1',TEXT='<right>Page <ibi-page-number/></right>',POSITION=(12,64 7.70), MARKUP=ON,WARP=OFF,DIMENSION=(2.000 0.938), METADATA='left:12.64in; top:7.70in; width:2.000in; height:0.938in; text-align:right; position: absolute;',$

The problem is that the page-number is not always right align when it great than 9. For example,
***********************************************************************************************abcde
**********************************************************************************************Page 9

***********************************************************************************************abcde
**********************************************************************************************Page 10
the number 10 is not align with 'abcde'.
Who can help me to solve this problem ?
Thank you!

Hello S.G.

Can you update your signature line with the WebFOCUS version that you are running?

A bit more detail will help with answering your question. Is the "abcde" in the body of the report or subfoot or subhead.

Does the word 'Page' line up ? It might just be the offset due to the double digit page number.

Thank you for participating in the Focal Point Forum.

Kindest regards,

Hello Tamra

Thanks for your advise.

The WebFOCUS version is 8009. The "abcde" and "page-number" are displayed in the footing,and 'Page' and 'number'are line up.

You are right,it is the offset due to the double digit page number. How to write code to remove the offset ?

Hello S.G,
I don't think this is something that can be fixed. This might be an issue with the PDF rendering not honoring align:right correctly. If you would like to pursue this issue further and see if there are workarounds, you can always open a case with Tech Support.

I don't know if this will help you, but I had a problem with "Page 1 of n" in Dev Studio 8.0.08. I opened a Tech Support case because "there is a gap between the page number and the text 'of'".

I discovered this is because the GUI Document Composer tool changed the code that was generated in prior versions of WebFOCUS. In v7.7.05, "WRAP=OFF" was generated for the page number object. In v8.0.08, "WRAP=ON" is generated. This causes the problem.

I opened a case, but while I wait for the bug to be corrected, I have a workaround - after using the GUI, I manually edit the code and change ""WRAP=ON" to ""WRAP=OFF"".

OBJECT=STRING, NAME='text2', TEXT='<font face="ARIAL" size=8><left>Page <ibi-page-number/> of <ibi-total-pages/><BR></left></font>', POSITION=(0.250 8.120), MARKUP=ON, WRAP=OFF, DIMENSION=(2.000 0.292),  METADATA='Z-INDEX: 102; POSITION: absolute; TEXT-ALIGN: left; WIDTH: 2in; FONT-FAMILY: ARIAL; WORD-WRAP: break-word; HEIGHT: 0.292in; FONT-SIZE: 8pt; TOP: 8.12in; LEFT: 0.25in', $

I noticed your code has "WARP" and not "WRAP" - check your code!

Hi Francis Mariani,

It's "WRAP=OFF" in my code . Sorry, I wrote incorrectly here.

Do you have any other advise for this issue?

Well, for me, WRAP=OFF worked for me, so I don't have any more advice.
