I'm a hand Focus Coder..but when I'm all done..and have Amper Variables...I have always right clicked on the fex and brought it into Resource Layout Painter...where you could easlily change colors and move things around.
Well in the new 7.1.x version...you cannot do this anymore...you have to go to HTML painter, which is hard to deal with...and it takes the Fex and put's it in the middle of the HTML, instead of calling it like it use to do. Am I doing something wrong...or is this the way it is and if so why....oh...and it doesn't run.

Hi Prarie,

The main difference between the Resource Layout Tool and HTML Layout Painter is that the HTML Layout Painter is much more versatile for online applications. However, a new feature with the HTML Layout Painter is that you now, rather then only import procedures, you may reference procedures via the Insert or right-click context menus. The HTML file then includes the procedure as part of its execution, but the code still resides in the FOCEXEC. Therefore, the procedure can be modified without having to work in the HTML Layout Painter, as well as modify the HTML sections without disrupting the procedure.

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry
