Hi,

i have a problem when i run a fex by using a schedule in ReportCaster. I get the message (FOC295) A VALUE IS MISSING FOR: &ISIN_Eingabe.

If I run the Report normally I can choose between putting an Variable into &ISIN_Eingabe or not. So if I don't enter an Value in &ISIN_Eingabe, then my where clause is not limited. If I enter a value, then my where clause is limited.
I want Report Caster to run my fex without entering a value.
I mean if I just don't enter a value it gets my defaulth...And if I run my fex by using ReportCatser, I thought that would be the case, as if I would not enter a value..
Does someone know how to handle with this??

But I Need &ISIN_Eingabe at many places, sothat I need the '&'.

What does _FOC_NULL do?

Hallo Jenni,

You do not state which version of WF8 that you are using, so my response may not be completely correct for your version - I am using WF8.2.01.

Within the Task(s) of your schedule, the second tab of the Task editor is for Parameters.

If you select this, you will see all your parameters defined within your procedure. Against ISIN_Input, place the same value as your DEFAULTH declaration under "Use Default".

This appears to be the equivalent of using DEFAULT and DEFAULTH within a procedure.

Like you, I think that the DEFAULTH should suffice and you may want to follow this up with Tech Support.

Viel Glück!

Hallo Jenni,

This is the equivalent of saying "give me all values".

Hallo Jenni,

I thought about this and ran a few checks to confirm the behaviour.

When you use -DEFAULTH the variable does not appear within the list of parameters of the Task.

When use use only -DEFAULT then the variable does appear and the value under "Use Default" shows as "Yes". You can uncheck the "Always Use ..." checkbox so that you can call something like DSTRUN and pass another value for your Task to use. I think that this is probably the better way of harnessing this feature.

Using -DEFAULT or -DEFAULTH didn't make a difference to my schedule runs - both used the default value.

If you cannot see the variable because of using -DEFAULTH then you can add a "New" variable using the same name (without the preceding & ) or temporarily change your -DEFAULTH to -DEFAULT, open the parameters tab and click refresh.

Viel Glück
