Thanks for Reply..

But client wants Wildcard Selection.
i.e -
1 - C_%
2 - N_

And this parameter is not matching with existing data.

Thanks!

Thanks for Reply.

But this is not working. And one more thing-
I am using Info Assist for this and user can enter one or more wildcard value.

Thanks!

Hi Avinash,

The problem is to manage what your user will enter in the parameter field and how. Assuming that only wild card % can be entered without any space or coma, the fallowing should work. Otherwise you'll have to adjust the code or limit what user can enter and the way they enter it.

-SET &PARAM = 'DOOR%AUTO%';
-SET &INTER = '''' || STRREP(&PARAM.LENGTH, &PARAM, 1, '%', 6, ''' OR ''', 100, 'A100') || '-''';
-SET &INTER2 = STRREP(&INTER.LENGTH, &INTER, 7, 'OR ''-''', 0, '', &INTER.LENGTH, 'A&INTER.LENGTH');
-SET &TEST  = STRREP(&INTER2.LENGTH, &INTER2, 1, '-', 0, '', &INTER2.LENGTH, 'A&INTER2.LENGTH');

-TYPE PARAM: &PARAM
-TYPE INTER: &INTER
-TYPE INTER2: &INTER2
-TYPE TEST: &TEST

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT MODEL
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
WHERE MODEL CONTAINS &TEST;
END

Basically what I'm doing is creating a list of possible values based on what the user provide. And because they can end their string with a wild card, I need to manage it. It's may not be very elegant, but should work up to a certain point.
