[CLOSED] HTML can’t deal with the ampersand (&) in the parameter value

Hi,

In an HTML-screen a listbox is filled with some values. One of these values is ‘H&K’. If I select this value and run the fex, the ‘H&K’ value is passed from the HTML-screen to the fex as a parameter value. The fex does not give any results because the HTML can’t deal with the ampersand (&) in the parameter value. If I look at the source code of the output of the fex, it shows that parameter value ‘H&K’ is perceived as parameter value ‘H’. How can I solve this issue?

(I encounter the same problem for value ‘X+S’. The source code shows that the parameter value that is being used in the fex is ‘X S’.)

Hi,

you have to parse the string that you have selected in the drop down list and replace
the "&" char with "&" and then send it to the fex file.
You may have other issue with other charcters:
have a look to the following list.

Regards.

if ( chara == '<'){
result.append("<");
} else if ( chara == '>'){
result.append(">");
} else if ( chara == '\"'){
result.append(""");
} else if ( chara == '\\'){
result.append("\");
} else if ( chara == '&'){
result.append("&");
} else if ( chara == '\''){
result.append("'");
} else {
result.append(chara);
}
