Hi All,
ihave 5 columns and 50 rows per all the coluns in areport, i want to create an extra column for this report using define or COMPUTE with alternate values for each row like if the forst row having the value 01 and the second row value is 02 agaain this it will repeat like third row vale is 01 and fourth is 02 this will repeat upto end.

please let me know if anyone haave idea about this.

Try using code like this:

COMPUTE NEWCOL/I1 = IF LAST NEWCOL EQ 1 THEN 2 ELSE 1;

There are no softcopies of these books.
Just order at Informationbuilders and pay the 2 times $ 25 ...it's worth the money. I have bought them myself last week too.

I would think the company you work for should be able to order them for you. Have you asked Information Builders, since that is where you have to order the keysheet.
