We are migrating our data from mainframe to a Unix platform and our code from mainframe Focus to WebFocus. On the mainframe we use generation datasets. Moving to the Webfocus Unix environment we are looking for a way to handle files which we currently have in GDGs. We often dynamically allocate these in our programs ".fex" and are having difficulty finding another way of handling this situation. Any suggestions are welcome.

From the Product Manager:

If you use all the GDG datasets at the same time like a concatenation, then you would create each GDG dataset as a FOCUS file on UNIX, and then use a USE statement to concatenate them for access under 1 master file.
