Has anyone had any luck with creating mekko charts ?

A mekko chart allows you to "communicate up to three levels of data (such as Sales by Competitor by Market Segment) in a single, two-dimensional graph."

some examples...

Hi Stephen,

Are you familiar with Treemaps and is this a similar concept? I have not heard of the Mekko chart.

A Treemap is a two dimensional representation of hierarchical data where each data is represented by a cell. The arrangement, size and color of each cell represents the attributes of the data element.

I believe the 7.6 version of Webfocus has heatmap, but not Treemap functionality.

Thanks for the response. I will investigate the heat map.

In Excel you can use a variable width bar graph to give you a Matrix (mekko) chart, but it requires a number of setting that i can't dupliate with Focus.

Excel process described here...
