[CLOSED] Documentation for type conversion from database to metadata
I'm trying to determine what data type in MS SQL server converts to a type D in WebFOCUS metadata. Has anyone seen documentation that describes this? (Example database type X, column type Y converts to Z type in metadata) What I'm seeing is columns formatted as DECIMAL or DOUBLE both create column type P in the metadata.
I am trying to format a percentage with the p option which multiplies by 100 and adds the % sign, but it is not supported on types I and P.This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,

Hi Tim
Sorry I missed this post... In 8.2.06 if you DEFINE a field D20.2p it will calculate the percentage of the field you put in the expression and add a % sign to it.
this is a sample from the wf_retail master DEFINE COG_PERCENT/D20.2p MISSING ON=COGS_LOCAL; $
Hope you are doing well, I miss the old days!
Thank you for using Focal Point!
