I am sure if I looked around the files somewhere that i would find the answer, but i just don't have time for that and was hoping you guys could help.

I am trying to get only a month and date....without the year. I looked in Webfocus guide and i found everything else but MD.

Any quick suggestions?
This is what i originaly have, but they want the year out...

DEST_DT/MDY = IF DESTDT EQ '1998/01/01' THEN ' ' ELSE DESTDT;

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

@vivavox,
I'm of the opinion that if the documentation team had more time to do a better job, it wouldn't be so time consuming to find something when you have no idea what the search terms should be. Of all the reference materials for many languages I have to search on a regular basis, the WebFOCUS stuff is by far the hardest to get something useful out of quickly. Of course if you've been doing FOCUS programming since the days of 80 column cards, it must all seem pretty obvious. But to the rest of us it is arcane and counter-intuitive.

I thank all the helpful people here on the forums, because the helpfiles and documentation leave much to be desired.

I have discovered that it is easier to find documentation in the IBI reference material if I use GOOGLE to do my search rather than trying "ADVANCED SEARCH" through IBI. Preface your search with WebFocus. (or Java or HTML, etc)
