Thanks Duane. I hadn't had a chance to check out the DATEMOV function/BOM move-point before.

It looks like this example might assist the OP:

APP PREPENDPATH IBISAMP
DEFINE FILE TRAINING
 NEW_START1/YMD = DATEMOV(COURSESTART, 'BOM');
 NEW_START2/A9  = DATETRAN(NEW_START1, '(DMY)', '(dt-)', 'EN', 9, 'A9');
END
-*
TABLE FILE TRAINING
PRINT COURSESTART
      NEW_START1
      NEW_START2
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOPAGE
ON TABLE SET ONLINE-FMT STANDARD
END

  COURSESTART  NEW_START1  NEW_START2

Thanks, Waz. Can you point me to the Functions Manual? I imagine it could be quite helpful.

The link is at the top of the page, Tech Doc Search

you can download the PDF, or use the HTML online.

I would suggest downloading a set of the manuals for your version its can be very handy.
