I would like to create dynamic parameters on a report that is derived from joining two hold files. Is this doable? When I try it and put the parameter in and try and run the report I get errors. When I put the parameter in on the table that is creating one of the hold files that is used later on, it runs just fine. My question is more hypothetical in that I can get what I want by putting the parameters early on in the .fex but I still want to know if you can't put parameters on joined hold files?

Thanks T

Yes, This is doable?

I'd create a "Launch Page" (LP) for the fex and add the variable / parameter to the LP which will populate as the LP is executed or refreshed. The "RUN" button on the LP will execute the fex.
