I am using WEB Focus 7.14 trying to create an HTML Form in Report Painter. When I open Report painter the Object Inspector is not visible. I've checked Show Object Inspector under the File menu but that does no good. What am I doing wrong

Hello dab448,
If you say that Show Object Inspector under the File menu is checked, that would mean that the Object Inspector is probably hidden behind the painter.
So press Ctrl-Tab until you can see the Object Inspector and then dbl-click its top bar. It will then position itself to the left of the painter.
Good luck.

dab448,

Can you send me a screenshot of the painter after you have opened it?

Hi dab448,

This problem has been reported before, and it usually requires changes to the registry. The following document may be of interest:

Object Inspector not showing up in the Report Painter

If this does not help, please submit a case with Information Builders' Customer Support Services, since we will need to review other settings in your registry to see which ones need to be adjusted. To contact us, please either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access online at InfoResponse.

Hope this helps. Big Grin Also many thanks for Danny's input.

Cheers,

Kerry

Problem Solved: When I first posted the problem my laptop was at home. This morning at work, where I use dual monitors, I opened Web Focus and the Object Inspector appeared on the 2nd monitor. I drug it over to the laptop monitor and re-attached it and that seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks to all who replied.

Just an FYI - I had a client that had this problem as well. I raised the resolution on the pc to the maximum and found the object inspector.
