At create time you'll get a drop down choice of Orientation.

Inside the document canvas, you can change it in the Properties. You need to click Compound Document first and Page orientation is the second option under size.

Thanks BabakNYC. So in the Properties, I changed the page orientation for the Compound Document and I changed it for Page Layout 1 as well but when I run it from the Compound Document piece it still squishes the data on the report. However, if I run it from the report itself, the data comes out fine...in landscape.

And I also set the orientation to landscape for the Report Page when in the actual report as well but the data still comes out squished

Is your output PDF? I tested this and I'm getting the right orientation. Is your report output very wide? Maybe the problem has to do with SQUEEZE not orientation of the document.

Actually it's HTML. However, what's odd is that I had originally changed everything with the page orientation in the code after the report had been created in Document Canvas originally. Of course it hosed up and would not open in the Document Canvas anymore, but it runs and generates the report fine with the correct orientation.

I had backed up the report before changing things in the code because I know there is this issue when changing the code if created with the GUI. So I have changed the page orientation for everything in the Document Canvas GUI for the backed up report, but it's still generating the data where it looks squished.

So in the Properties for the Compound Document I made the output format an active HTML, and for the report for the Size and Overflow, I set it to "flowing". It is now not coming out like with the data squished on top of each other being set to a landscape orientation, but if I have DHTML as an output it does come out squished.

Any more thoughts?

If this is still an issue you should probably open a case with techsupport.

Well I have the output as active HTML so it is coming out in landscape orientation and the data is not squished now. I had DHTML before I believe. Have not tried other output options.
