This is the exact Report Template, which I need to develop. This is a project where we migrate couple of reports from Legacy Foxpro to Webfocus. Here are few doubts regarding this template, which I have not come across before.

1)How to display column groups in separate tables? (In the template, First 7 columns comes in one table, next 3 – 2 - 1 in separate separate tables.

2)How to display Row Groups based on a BY Field as shown in the template? ( Womenswear sales is one Row Group. Payroll cost is the second.) The data is coming from only a single database Table.

3)Is there a way to display the Row Group titles, exactly as shown in the template ?( In the First Line, along with the Grid Border)

I need to Implement this for HTML PDF and EXCEL

Displaying columns from more than one table should be as easy as joining the tables together. You might be able to create this report output using a single report query, but it will likely be easier to do this as a compound report, where each report group is produced by a separate report query and the individual reports are displayed on the same output page. The biggest challenge will probably come from making it all work seamlessly for HTML, Excel, and PDF. The formatting and styling will need to be tweaked for each output format. I doubt there is a way to insert text into a border line that will work for all three output formats. But you should certainly be able to put the group headings just above the border line by using something like SUBHEAD.
