hi fellows,

I came to ask for aid to the WF experts after doing a research from my own and not being able to achieve what I want..
I'm currently creating an excel file with a template file on the server because i'm embedding a macro, the file has about 20
sheets that contain multiple information from multiple departments, however I would like to include some preformating on the
excel sheets to save myself some vba coding (which is working just fine), but apparently WebFocus completely overwrites the
content on all the sheets including the formating.. so I'm wondering if there is way to keep the whats on the page and just
insert the request from the server.

This is a piece of the code to give you an idea..

-*TEMPLATE CALLING
APP FI TMPTHOLDER1 DISK cat_macros1.mht
APP FI TMPTHOLDER2 DISK cat_macros2.mht

TABLE FILE TREND_COMM_CAT_SUM_TAB
PRINT *
ON TABLE HOLD AS TMPTHOLDER1 FORMAT EXL2K TEMPLATE 'cat_macros' SHEETNUMBER 1
END

TABLE FILE TREND_DIY_CAT_SUM_TAB
PRINT *
ON TABLE HOLD AS TMPTHOLDER2 FORMAT EXL2K TEMPLATE 'cat_macros1' SHEETNUMBER 2
END

TABLE FILE OVERVIEW_SLIDE
PRINT *
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K TEMPLATE 'cat_macros2' SHEETNUMBER 19
END

the code above would output exactly what I want except for the borders that I already prebuilt
on the template, i know its overwriting because if I add one extra tab and I don't print anything on it
it will preserve the formatting.

I will appreciate any help on this matter if it can be achieved, if what I want to do is not possible i would also
appreciate to be told!

Thanks a lot !

Yes, WF completely replaces the content of each target sheetnumber. Whatever formatting you cannot accomplish by means of WF STYLESHHET you will need to do via VBA.

Rafael,

I load raw data to separate worksheets. Then create the formatted sheets referencing the cells on the data sheets.

Hope this helps.
