Hi,
I am using WebFOCUS 7.1.3 and SQL Server Database to generate the reports and graphs. I have created two instances of SQL Server in one server/machine and I need to create Adapters for the both instances.
I have provided the server name and the instance name as server\instance and user proper credentials, but still I am getting an error.

Error Details:

(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS 17 (HEX: 00000011) XOPEN: 08001

: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server: [08001] [DBNETLIB][ConnectionO

: pen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

(FOC1405) SQL PREPARE ERROR.

Moogi,

Aiming this sort of question at the forum is OK, but can take up precious time in some instances. I would urge you to contact your local support for items such as this.

If you do not have maintenance for your product then I would suggest obtaining it as being very important for you as it will give you access to Info Response as well as being able to get online manuals etc. This being above and beyond the access to a skilled support team in the US.

If your company hasn't got it then encourage them to get it!

Hi Moogi,

Has this issue been resolved?

I ran some search on online documents and came to the understanding that the error messages are quite general, which can happen in many different scenarios. This is likely a configuration problem, so I would agree with Tony's suggestion (many thanks to Tony Big Grin) that this should be either directed to your local branch, or a case should be submitted for further assistance. We may need to know more details on your systems, release level, etc.

To open a case, please contact Information Builders’ Customer Support Services at any time. The phone number is 1-800-736-6130, or you may access the online system InfoResponse at http://techsupport.ibi.com. Here is a list of information to be ready when you call: http://techsupport.ibi.com/before_you_call.jsp.

Hope this helps. Music

Cheers,

Kerry
